Many people can be involved with a single project. Within EPM Live, the people involved with a project are generally associated with the following roles.
- The Project Manager is generally responsible for the planning and overall execution of a project. This usually starts by creating a project item, entering the project details, and building a resource plan and/or budget. Once a Project Manager receives the green light to run with their project, they build the project team and the project schedule (where the Team Members will be assigned tasks.)
- The Executive is generally responsible for performing analysis and decision making.
- The Resource Manager, also known as a Department Manager, can be a team member's direct supervisor/manager or a manager of some other resource needed for the project.
- The Team Members work to complete their assigned tasks, provide updates to keep others informed of their progress, and otherwise collaborate as needed to help advance the project.
