How do I use the heat map?

The heat map in the Resource Planner highlights the background color of the cells in the bottom grid to quickly enable the user to visually see which resources are over allocated. This article covers using the heat map in the Resource Planner.

1. Click Heat Map

  • Click the Heat Map button on the ribbon in the bottom grid.

1.1. View the Highlighted Cells

  • View the highlighted cells to the right. The heat map highlights the cells where Remaining Availability has been exceeded. It does this by setting the background of the cell to red rather than just the text when the remaining is less than zero. Thus, the cells with the red background indicate that the associated resources listed below the Item Name column are over allocated.
