It is possible to launch the Cost Planner from the Project Center, the Project Control Page, the Project Planner, and from the contextual drop down menu. This article covers launching the Cost Planner from the Project Center (Edit Costs Plan).
1. Click Edit Cost
- Click the ellipsis buttons to the right of the project name.
- Select the Edit Costs option.
2. View the Cost Planner and the Cost Category Level
- View the Cost Planner.
Note: This is an example of cost planning at the Cost Category level. Users would enter costs directly.
2.1. View the Cost Planner and the Cost Category Role Level
- This is an example of cost planning at the Cost Category Role level. Users wouldn't enter costs directly, but rather would enter the unit of measure (UOM), which is hours. Then, based on each role's rate, the cost would auto-calculate.
