How do I install an EPM Live App in a workspace?

This article shows you how to install an app into your workspace from the EPM Live App Marketplace. This article covers the different ways to install an app at the workspace level.

Note: The instructions in this article are applicable to Site Collection Administrators (SCA) in the Top Level Site as well as to Power Users who have Owner permissions on a workspace. Only the Site Collection Administrator can add EPM Live Apps to the top level Site.

1. Navigate to the Manage Workspace

  1. Click the Workspace icon on the Icon Bar.
  2. Select the desired workspace.

2. View the Header Bar

  • It is a good idea to view the Header Bar to verify that you are in the correct location.

3. Method 1: Navigate to the Manage Apps Page

  1. Select the Settings Gear icon on the Icon Bar.
  2. Under the Configuration heading, select Manage Apps.

3.1. Click the Install Application Button

  • Click Install Application.

Note: The Manage Apps page at the workspace level, shows all Apps that have been installed/added to the workspace.

Note II: Two additional ways to add an app is from the Settings Gear menu and from the Create New (+) button on the Create New navigation menu at the workspace. These additional methods are described below.

4. Method 2: Add App on Navigation Menu

  1. Select the Settings Gear icon on the Icon Bar.
  2. Under the Settings heading, select Add App.

5. Method 3: Create New

  1. Select the Create New icon on the Icon Bar.
  2. Click the (+) button to the right of List Apps.

6. Select EPM Live Custom App

  • Click anywhere in the blue box to be redirected to the EPM Live App Marketplace in a new window.

7. View the EPM Live App Marketplace

  • View the EPM Live App Marketplace.

8. Click the Get it Now

  1. Select an App to get more information.
  2. Click Get Now.

9. Select the Community

  1. Click the Community box and select the desired community where you wish for this app to be installed.
  2. Click Next.

10. View the Installation Pre-Check

  1. Check the box to accept the Terms & Conditions.
  2. Click the Install Application button.

11. View Installation Results

  • View the Installation Results.

Note: Show Details is used to review what's been checked, added, and updated in your Site App for this newly installed Application. Go To Community is used to navigate back to your EPM Live Site App. Go To Marketplace is used to return to the App Marketplace to continue shopping.
