How do I use the Show Graph and Details feature?

The Show Graph feature in the Resource Analyzer allows you to visually display the teams or individual's availability in a graph form. It is in the graph that you can easily graphically see what the selected resources committed, scheduled, timesheet actuals, and or personal time time hours compared to their available hours.  The Show Details allows you to dig into the details to see what projects the hours are originating from. This article displays an individual resource's availability and a teams' availability in the graph within the Resource Analyzer.  

Select Single Resource

  1. Select the resource you would like to see in the graph. Notice the number of hours Edward is being committed to on September.
  2. Click the Show Graph button.

View the Graph

View the graph broken down by months. The purple bar represents the committed hours per month. the gray bar represents the availability per month. In the above scenario, Edward in being committed to more hours than is possible in the month or September.

Select Multiple Resources

  1. Select the resources you would like to see in the graph.
  2. Click the Show Graph button.

View the graph broken down by months. The colors of each bar are indicated to the left of the resource name in the far right. The bars reflect the committed hours per month. The gray bar represents the availability per month for the team.

Show Details

Click the Show Details button to see the data broken down.

View the Details

The Show Details allows you to dig into the details to see where the hours (committed, scheduled, etc.) are originating from.
